Company Overview
ALLERGY AND ASTHMA CENTER OF THE ROCKIES We serve patients of all ages from about two months of age and into their nineties. Our philosophy is that our patients will not only feel good, but great, and will live with no limitations or restrictions due to their allergies or asthma! We want them to have their allergies and asthma under control at all times. We ask that our patients come back to our office for follow-up visits every four to six months for check-ups and to adjust their medications. We offer immunotherapy, so we see those patients regularly.
We currently serve patients in Fort Collins on Mondays and Wednesdays and in Greeley on Tuesdays and Fridays. We travel to Fort Morgan and Sterling on Thursdays. We currently have waiting lists for patients to see Dr. Lanting at all 4 locations. We are hopeful that the addition of a new physician will allow us to take care of our patients more quickly. Our patients are willing to wait for us-but more readily available appointments will be a wonderful addition to our practice.
We take most insurance policies as well as a few self-pay patients. We accept both Medicare and Medicaid.

Company History
Allergy and Asthma Center of the Rockies was opened in April, 2009. We started the practice during an economic recession and business has been thriving ever since! We are currently seeing between 15-20 follow up appointments and 3 new patients per day. Our waiting list is extensive and we are looking forward to adding another physician to help us continue to grow. The philosophy of our practice, and of Bill Lanting, MD,is to listen to our patients; they will tell you what is wrong with them if you listen long enough. Bill has 20 years of experience as an allergist. He trained at National Jewish Hospital, and has developed an intuition to look at the patient, listen to their story, look at their chart and to know which further tests to run. It comes from experience, from continued education and keeping up on the latest news on allergies, asthma and immunology. On a personal note, he has been trying the anti-inflammatory Paleo diet which he recommend to some patients in addition to their environmental control procedures.
Dr. Lanting worked in general practice for eight years and has a background in pediatrics He worked as a pediatrician for three years prior to training as an allergist. He loves working with kids of all ages! He prides himself on having convinced some of the most resistant patients to continue diligent nasal care and medication compliance. We have many patients who were previously unable to enjoy regular activity due to their asthma or allergies. After a few weeks of following Dr. Larting's instructions, these same patients are seeing their lives completely change for the better. We are proud of our patient testimonials! They remind us on a daily basis why we do what we do.
Our staff is like a big family. Our nurses are trained to take care of patients in a day-to-day setting as well as fully competant to take care of emergencies. Our front desk staff works with the nurses to ensure that all patients have the most comfortable experience possible.

We make patients feel not just good, but wonderful with no restrictions or limitations due to their allergies or asthma. We want them to have an excellent quality of life. We have excellent compliance by our patients due to thorough education and caring on the part of our physician and nursing staff. Patients know we care and take the time with them, so they respond and follow through with compliance and do well with their medications and self-care procedures. We get great referrals from both patients and physicians and enjoy our work. We find "rare" cases because we take the time to listen to patients who have been missed previously. It is very exciting to be able to help them, and they are very appreciative to finally get help. We often get great improvements by one month follow-ups. Patients are so pleased as are we!

Fort Collins is a wonderful community with access to fantastic facilities locally for arts and entertainment and both summer and winter sports. Our community offers excellent public schools in addition to Core Knowledge, Charter Schools, IB World, and religious schools. Fort Collins has a well-educated population, including retirees, families and students (Colorado State University is located here).
