Description

Part-Time Clinical Allergist or PA/NP, Allermi

Who We Are:

Allermi is a healthcare startup based in California. With a telemedicine and direct-to-consumer model, Allermi’s mission is to provide patients with allergic conditions access to affordable and excellent allergy car. Currently our medical focus is on treating patients with rhinitis and eczema.

Two of Allermi’s founding partners are allergists who wanted a way to provide better care to more patients. Allermi offers patients proprietary products that have been successfully used in practice for over 25 years.  Once approved by a physician, our prescription medications and shipped directly to customers’ doors.

You can visit us at www.allermi.com

What We Offer:

Flexible remote work hours: Allermi’s online platform is asynchronous, meaning providers can review patient’s medical information offline.  Medical information is collected using Allermi’s medical intake questionnaire and physicians are assigned patients on a rotating, round-robin basis based on their location and which states they are licensed to prescribe in. Once assigned, they are requested to review and approve a treatment plan within an allotted time (i.e. 48 hours). All this happens in the convenience of your own home.

Part-time position that can be combined with an existing schedule with opportunity to grow: We encourage providers to keep their academic appointments where possible.  This is currently a part-time opportunity, and we are seeking an individual who can commit approximately 5-10 hours/week.  We anticipate that this will be sufficient time to manage patient volume at the early stages of launch since we are planning to launch in only select states at first.  However, we hope that as the company grows the physician can increase their involvement if desired.

Ability to focus on the medicine: All work is asynchronous, so there are no video-appointments or scheduling. Follow-up communication with patients for questions, refills, etc., will primarily be handled by a PA/NP that is assigned to the physician. Furthermore, there is no billing or insurance collected and all records are handled by Allermi’s custom software platform. This enables physicians to do what they love the most - treat patients - while skipping all the baggage.

Compensation:

The physician will be reimbursed $20 per patient reviewed. This will include mostly new patient evaluations, which take approximately 5-10 minutes.

The PA/NP position is paid hourly ($50-$60/hr). Responsibilities will include follow-up visits, triaging messages, and refills.

Who You Are:

-A creative, collaborative medical provider with a vested interest in allergic conditions (namely, rhinitis and eczema)

-Eager to work on a team of devoted, passionate industry professionals

-Passionate about making healthcare more accessible and affordable

-Excited about improving modes of treatment for patients that have struggled with currently available options

-Enthusiastic about taking part in an entrepreneurial venture that is among the first of its kind

-Board-certified and licensed to practice medicine in the US
