The Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics at Boston Medical Center and the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine are seeking an allergist-immunologist for appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor. Candidates should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Allergy/Immunology and should be eager to engage in clinical practice, teaching, quality improvement, and research.

The position, in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Sleep, and Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Medicine or Department of Pediatrics (with joint appointments available), involves the full scope of outpatient allergy/immunology as well as providing inpatient consultation at Boston Medical Center, the major teaching hospital for the medical school. Teaching responsibilities include medical students, residents, and A/I fellows in ambulatory, inpatient, and didactic settings. Candidates would join a group of 10 faculty members practicing A/I at BUMC/BMC. Candidates interested in research are encouraged to apply and would have the opportunity to join well-established programs in bench, epidemiology, and clinical Pulmonary/Allergy/ Immunology.

The Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Departments are centers of excellence for care of children and adults in an urban setting with ~500,000 ambulatory visits per year. Boston University Medical Campus is located in Boston’s Historic South End District and provides care to a large urban population with a strong connection to our community health center network. The Campus is comprised of Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, Boston University School of Public Health, Boston University School of Dentistry and Boston Medical Center, the main teaching affiliate of Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. All attending physicians are faculty at Boston university Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.
